Ben's Piano Recital

Ben has been interested in learning to play the piano for a couple of years now. The Lord worked it out a couple of months ago for us to borrow a keyboard (thank you, Connolly Family!!!) and for Ben to take lessons from our beautiful friend and neighbour, Mary Catherine!

I have been trying to upload one of the videos from the recital we had last week and it has not been cooperating until today. Here he is playing Ode to Joy and I must brag on him a little. He was already familiar with the song and taught himself the ending, which was not in his piano book. WOW! Way to go, Buddy!

And thank you, MC, for being a wonderful teacher!

Holy Roar

There is much on my mind these days...packing boxes, people in pain, selling our house, marriages under attack, moving, friends who need encouraging words, what's next for my family and on and on.

So I turn to Him and gaze on His beautiful face and worship.

Ahhhhh...

Blessings over you today!

Austin's Day...make that Week!

We have had a festive week celebrating Austin's 11th birthday! First, a party with four of his best buddies... ...and Red Velvet Cupcakes! Then a trip to Kampai for the most-desired sushi...
Then a few gifts...
And a breakfast request of croissants and hot chocolate (a fun French tradition we learned about quite a few years ago in one of our Five in a Row units!)...
And last but not least, Irish Dream Cake for the birthday guy! And Buddy, here are some important words a friend spoke over you a few years ago. I thought that now, in light of all that the Father is doing in our family, would be a great time to remind you of them...

Austin...You are a young man of integrity, honesty, purity, and compassion. The Lord smiles with pleasure when He looks upon you. There are secrets between you and the Lord and it is His pleasure to give you more. You have a shepherd's heart, son, and the Lord cherishes that heart. Let Him have it completely.

We love you, Austin!
