Blooms

The younger four children and I went to the Rock Garden this week while Emma was in drama rehearsals. It was a glorious spring day and the blooms were incredible.

We are thankful for spring!

All but the last two pictures were taken by Benjamin...

All Ontario Choir 2011

Emma had the privilege of participating in a choir for the first time over the weekend. It was part of the Strings, Etc. group and was held in Brantford. Thursday, Friday and Saturday were packed with learning and practicing the pieces, participating in group activities and games, eating delicious food, making new friends, meditating on devotions and just having a fabulous time making more priceless memories. Emma also had a fun time spending both nights with her precious friend, Janelle.

On Saturday night, they had the Finale to display their hard work and musical talent.

Here is the choir singing Awake the Trumpets Lofty Sound by Handel...

Thank you to all of the organizers and parents who helped to make this event a reality! And a special thanks to Janelle and her lovely family for hosting Emma. Love you guys!

Be blessed!

Saturday Sunshine

We took advantage of the gorgeous sunshine and the fact that one of our favourite gardens had opened for the season and spent time enjoying the wonderful outdoors on Saturday!

Ben's Piano Recital

Ben has been interested in learning to play the piano for a couple of years now. The Lord worked it out a couple of months ago for us to borrow a keyboard (thank you, Connolly Family!!!) and for Ben to take lessons from our beautiful friend and neighbour, Mary Catherine!

I have been trying to upload one of the videos from the recital we had last week and it has not been cooperating until today. Here he is playing Ode to Joy and I must brag on him a little. He was already familiar with the song and taught himself the ending, which was not in his piano book. WOW! Way to go, Buddy!

And thank you, MC, for being a wonderful teacher!

Many blessings!
