Star-studded Engagement!

I've been wanting to post this exciting news but was waiting for our friends to make their big announcement on Facebook. That never happened, but I did get permission to go ahead and share about them here...

Our friend, Andrew, invited us to come to the local university's planetarium immediately following his proposal to his girlfriend, Joyce, for an hour long astronomy presentation. I thought he was super clever for thinking of a place to propose to her where she wouldn't actually suspect that that was what was happening!

We were delighted to be invited to join the party!!!

And although they are not in the pictures, Bob and Austin were able to bike over a little late from soccer practice (Emma was at a sleepover with friends).

Andrew and Joyce, we are so thrilled that God has brought you together and is blessing you with a marriage relationship soon! We are thankful to be a small part of your lives, and we consider it a huge joy and privilege to be your friends!!!

I kept thinking of Psalm 19 during the presentation...especially these verses (1-6)
The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of His hands.

Day after day they pour forth speech;
night after night they display knowledge.

There is no speech or language
where their voice is not heard.

Their voice goes out into all the earth,
their words to the ends of the world.

In the heavens He has pitched a tent for the sun,
which is like a bridegroom coming forth from his pavilion,
like a champion rejoicing to run his course.

It rises at one end of the heavens
and makes its circuit to the other;
nothing is hidden from its heat.

Blessings!
