Strawberries...

Here's what we made with some of those delicious strawberries we picked...

This is strawberry freezer jam...easy breezy!

I'm almost certain that this recipe originated from my friend Jen U in Alabama. I've used it for five or six years. I made two double batches this year for the freezer!

Strawberries and Cream Bread
1/2 c. butter, softened
3/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 sour cream or plain yogurt
1 3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 c. fresh strawberries, sliced

In mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Add sour cream or yogurt and vanilla. Combine dry ingredients. Stir into cream mixture, just until moistened. Fold in strawberries. Pour into greased and floured loaf pan. Bake at 350* for 65-70 minutes.

YUM!

Blessings!
