Crazy Day!

What a day! Austin and I went to run errands for Ben's birthday, which is tomorrow. While we were out running around, the car died. I honestly don't think that has ever happened to me before. In our driveway, yes, but not out running around. Anywho, we got out of the car and Austin wanted to pop the hood. Such a manly man. So we opened the hood and well, just stood there looking. Yep, that's the engine. Yep, there's the battery. I need a Mechanics 101 class, quick.

Okay, so I pulled out my cell phone to call Bob and noticed that I already had a text from him. It said 'Twisted ankle playing bball. In emerg. Hurt and swollen.' Alrighty, I don't guess it will do much good to call and tell him my news, but of course I called anyway to check on him. He was in a great deal of pain and waiting to see a doctor. :(

In the next hour, I had a furry of phone calls, trying to figure out what to do about the vehicle, as well as a boost from a man in the parking lot. I will spare you all those details. When the tow truck driver arrived, he knew that I didn't want him to try boosting it again, but he asked if he could look at it anyway. Well, praise God that he did. I know he saved us a GREAT deal of money. He found that the terminal on one of the battery thingy-dos (I have no idea what the correct term is) was loose. He got his tools from his truck and tightened the terminal. The car started right up and kept running even when I drove it around the parking lot. Thank you, Jesus!!!

A big thank you to my beautiful friend, Christine, who is so much like a sister to me. She is very busy with school and projects and assignments, but she helped out a great deal today. Love you, girl! And thanks to our friend and neighbour, Chris, who was a huge help on the phone and a great support to me when Bob was not able to be.

And now, the bad news...Bob's ankle is chipped on the left side and possibly on the right, as well. We call the fracture clinic tomorrow to make an appointment for a specialist.

It is very obvious to us that the enemy is hard at work. Bob has been back on campus and the enemy is not happy about that. A friend of ours told Bob today that the enemy is not pleased with deliverance. God is delivering lives who have been in bondage and He is pouring out His Spirit among us.

So we press on. We look to Jesus and learn more about what it means to live for Him and for His Kingdom. It's all for Him. Including dead cars and broken ankles.

Please join us in praying for healing for Bob's ankle. Our God is mighty to save!

Blessings.
