A very special day
The angels were rejoicing yesterday [Luke 15:10], as they and our family welcomed a new brother into the Kingdom of Heaven. Our very own Benjamin gave his life to Jesus yesterday!
We had been having a conversation about baptism and why we don't do infant baptism but wait until we decide to follow Christ before we are immersed in the waters. The conversation continued with Ben saying he wanted to get baptised and then we discussed the reason for baptism and all that it symbolizes. He asked me if he had given his life to Christ. I told him that he would have to answer that for me and then he said he wanted to right then. I told him that it would be a good idea to go into his room to spend a few minutes with Jesus and pray.
He came back about 15 minutes later with a big grin on his face. He said he had prayed and told Jesus that he knew why Jesus had to come to earth to pay for his sins and that he wanted Jesus to have his life. Then he said that while he was sitting quietly in his room, he had a picture (some might call it a vision).
He said there was a white wall with a door in it. There were lines of people who were drab and grey with no smiles. They were going through the door and when they came out they had changed. They were wearing jeans or shorts and all sorts of different patterns of colourful tye-dye shirts. We talked a bit about how that was such a wonderful picture of what happens when we go through the "Jesus door"we are changed and given new life! I thought this was such a great picture for Ben. He is a colourful guy and appreciates colour so much.
We called Bob to tell him and he rejoiced with us. Later in the evening, we discussed Ben's decision more and talked about baptism with him. We decided we shouldn't wait to baptise him [Acts 8:26-39].
What a very special day and we are thrilled to have a new "brother" in the family!
We bless you, Buddy, as you continue to grow in Christ and in the glorious destiny He has for you. xo

Summertime...so far
Evening sky |
Fireflies |
Wheat field close by |
Slip 'n slide fun |
Visit from Matthew |
Gammy and some of the Texas cousins |
Father and son time |
4th of July pig roast |
4th of July parade |
Local winery with amazing views |
We also survived an unusual and intense storm, a stretch of brutal heat and are now back down into normal temps for this time of year. We lost power for about 18 hours due to the storm, but we were very thankful that it wasn't long and we could host friends who were without power for five days. We've enjoyed all the visitors we've had recently and are looking forward to more in the future.
Hope you're enjoying summertime where you are! Blessings!
'Will the church in the US join us?'
Friends,
On Friday, IFA hosted our monthly prayer conference call. Dave Butts, Chairman of the National Prayer Committee, was on the call and relayed the following story. Dave attended the World Prayer Assembly in Jarkarta, Indonesia, back in May. He shared that 6 people from different countries outside the US approached him and shared with him the same message:
“Dave, we are mobilizing the church in our country to fast and pray for the US and its upcoming elections. Will the church in the US join us?”
The body of Christ around the world cares deeply for America, realizes the seriousness of the situation and wants to see us revived. Let us be humbled, grateful, encouraged and mobilized.
There is an urgency during these days for the state of our union. What is our response?
Expectantly,
Bob

Ministry Update
Hello Friends,
We would like to highlight a few things that have happened in the past few weeks:
* Celebrated arriving in Virginia 1 year ago and looking back at the doors that the Lord opened each step of the way.
*The Lord’s constant faithfulness and your friendship in trekking with us over the past year.
* A few of our IFA team praying on Capitol Hill with Senate Chaplain Barry Black and key prayer leaders from around D.C.
* Chaplain Black told the encouraging story of breakthrough in the debt-ceiling debate last year. One of the senators shared with Chaplain Black about the snarled gridlock in the proceedings. Thirty minutes after he and others interceded for the Lord to help, an agreement was reached.
* Our mobilization team at IFA is excited to be partnering with George Otis, Jr. and The Sentinel Group which produces documentaries on revival around the world that have been seen by over 200 million people in 175 countries. We will be working to bring the Journey to Transformation training to communities that are hungry for transforming revival. Pray that Christians will recognize the desperation of these times and the need to draw from this principle-based training.
* Through IFA, Bob is focusing on Texas, North Carolina, New Hampshire, Kentucky, Michigan and Arizona in connecting with leaders to mobilize fasting and prayer for our nation.
Please pray for us...
* We are in a spiritual war [Ephesians 6]. We have seen an increase in attacks on our family. Scarlett has fought through 3 migraines. Bob was taken by ambulance to due to a severe migraine and chest pains but was released after a few hours. We know that Jesus has given us His authority and we are standing our ground.
Please let us know if you would like to partner with us!
With love,
Bob and Scarlett Royce
