Taking a break

Hello All,

I'm taking a week off.

I plan to be back next week to my normal blogging and maybe a couple of other things I'm working on.

Hope all is well.

If you have anything you'd like me to pray for, let me know in the comments. I would count it a privilege to pray for you this week.

Blessings and love. xo

What I Wore

Wow! It's the middle of June already. How is your summer going???

Thank you to those who commented on my What I Wore post last week! I enjoyed reading your opinions. I was all set to use my birthday gift card for that cute striped dress yesterday, but darn, they were out of my size. So, I opted for a swim suit and a short sleeved tee, instead.

Have you joined Zulily.com yet? It's free to join and there are so many fun things posted each day, at reduced prices. Here are some options that are available right now:

Weekly Menu Plan {16 June}

I'm running late with getting this posted. Taxi driving, a surprise visit with a friend plus World Cup watching took up my day. Are you watching any of the games? Do you call them "games" or "matches"? Do you have a favourite team/s? Do you call it soccer or fĂștbol?  We have such a good time watching as a family, when we are able. It's hilarious and intense, at times, since we don't all follow or cheer for the same teams. I like to call us "global Americans"!

Here's my dinner plan for this week:

Monday - Tortellini Salad - to go with our Father's Day leftovers

Tuesday - Crockpot Cashew Chicken, rice

Wednesday - Burgers on the grill, potato salad, baked beans

Thursday - Leftovers

Friday - HM Pizza - probably cheese, pepperoni and veggie

Saturday - Buffalo Chicken Dip, crackers, veggie tray

Sunday - Something on the grill

I hope all is well with you and that you are enjoying the start to your week!

What I Wore

Okay, I still don't have any photos of my own to share with you, but I did receive a gift card for my birthday, so I get to shop! What do you think? Which dress do you like better?

I also really need a new swimsuit. I LOVE this one from hapari.com:

Ooh, or maybe this one:

Here are a couple of additional fun finds for this week:

And one more . . .

Our Favourite Grilled Chicken Recipe

Our Favourite Grilled Chicken

4 lbs. chicken breasts
1 c. soy sauce
1/2 c. red wine vinegar
1/2 c. olive oil
2 tsp. dried oregano
1 tsp. dried basil (or other combinations of spices)
1-2 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 - 1 tsp. black pepper

Mix marinade ingredients together. Place chicken in large Ziploc bag and cover with marinade. Keep in refrigerator for 4-24 hours, turning once or twice to make sure all the chicken gets plenty of marinade time. Obviously, the longer, the better.

Grill chicken on medium heat until it is no longer pink and the juices run clear.

We love this chicken with BBQ sauce or in chicken fajitas or on top of nachos or in a Cobb salad or in Mexican Chicken Soup. It's so versatile. You can grill it all and freeze what you don't need to use right away.

We made a bunch of chicken last week. The first night we had chicken fajitas. Then the next night, I used the extra for Buffalo Chicken French Bread. I actually made half with Buffalo sauce and half with BBQ sauce and they were big hits.

I have been making this recipe for years and years. It is probably my most requested recipe by friends who have come over for supper, so I thought I'd share it here. I hope you enjoy it!
